Althiril's Past

Althiril's Past is a short side-story from Legacy of Lunatara although it was written beforehand. In it Althiril's past is revealed through his own narration and it tells the tale of when he lost his sister and how he was banished from Sinaya and all of Lunatara. It consists of three chapter and ends with a epilogue.

Plot Summary
Chapter 1
As a young boy Althiril, eldest son of the head of the Spellsong family, were always behind his sister Altheia in both physical and magical skill even though she was younger than him. But after being given the famous blade the Regal, the most powerful weapon in their family, his sister starts doubting her being his favorite. To show his father he is better than his sister Althiril goes on a short adventure to try to kill a powerful monster in order to show himself capable of fighting. Altheia forces herself onto him to help him in the adventure but it all takes a turn to the worse. In a cave they encounter the Dark-elven general Narius Darkblade and his troop who's planning a attack on Sinaya. He captures, wounds and rapes Altheia but shortly after Althiril manages to save her and kill Narius. They both return to the city in shame, hiding behind the story that they were to transport weapons to a nearby outpost and being attacked by the Dark-elven troop.
Chapter 2
After the rumors of Althiril's feet in killing a general spreads throughout the town he has now become very popular, but he has lost some contact with his sister until she gets appointed as his mentor to teach his how magic works. Altheia learns that she is pregnant but hides it from Althiril, afraid that he will persecute and shun her. Their meeting and Althiril's training manages to bring them closer again but she is still to afraid to tell him about her pregnancy. They both get appointed to attend a meeting with their god and leader, Lumati, to meet the new human race the Atlanteans to forge an alliance, the Holy Order to bring and end to the Elven Wars and the Dark-elven terror.
Chapter 3
With the aid of Zelran, Ragnvarr and Svirf the Spellsong siblings set out on a reconnaissance mission to find nearby Dark-elven settlements and camps. This brings them to the cave, which have now become a whole complex, where they encountered Narius and under Althiril's lead they decide to investigate the complex. After getting into battle with several Dark-elves and a Gargoyle and a Quickling the group encounters Kronos and it does not take long for him to kill Svirf and take out both Zelran and Ragnvarr. Recognizing the Regal which had wounded him earlier in a battle against their father he puts a Geis on Altheia and forces her to battle Althiril. He is forced to kill her and with her final words she reveals her pregnancy. Althiril, Zelran and Ragnvarr manages to escape but now Althiril will have to face his punishment for putting their group in danger and getting his sister killed.
Epilogue
Althiril gets his punishment, permanent banishment from Sinaya and Lunatara. He accepts the punishment and his own adventure begins.
